Die Cast Oliver Farm Toys

In 1929, a merger of four companies resulted in the creation of Oliver Farm Equipment Company.  The companies found that their market shares were dwindling and their product line had become obsolete. In an effort to save their companies, Oliver Farm Equipment was born.  Once Oliver was born, the company they went on to purchase other successful farm equipment companies to help broaden it's product lineup.  In 1944 another tractor company, Cleveland Tractor Company was purchased. In 1960, The Oliver Farm Equipment Company was acquired by White Motor Corporation, which today is owned by ACGO.

Oliver built tractor models called the 66, 77 and 88 from 1948 to 1954 and they were available in either a diesel or gasoline engine. In 1958 a new series was introduced under model numbers 660, 770, 880, 990.
